Since opening in 1995, The Valerie Brown School of Dance and Drama has become well established in Hamilton. The school now provides tuition in ballet, tap, modern, jazz, streetdance, acrobatics, musical theatre and drama. We offer classes suitable for the beginner to the more advanced and experienced dancer.

We welcome children from 3 years of age (or 10 months in our Parent and Child classes) and are proud to teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabi and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabi as well as SQA national qualifactions. Pupils are encouraged to be presented for examinations with the RAD and ISTD when they reach the required age and standard. However these exams are optional.

For older students we are pleased to offer training at vocational level. Former students have gone on to have successful careers in dance both as performers and teachers.
